We are looking for a candidate with a sound experience in online marketing and driving new member traffic for an online, consumer-focused brand. All applicants must understand the principles of marketing and advertising, including product offer development, working knowledge of online customer acquisition techniques and CPM/CPC/CPA strategies, strong working knowledge of Internet, performance, and direct-response advertising models.
The Head of Customer Acquisition will manage the strategy and team responsible for acquiring new customers across all direct online and offline channels, including paid search, natural search, affiliates, lead generation, online media, catalog, radio, and DRTV. This role will also be responsible for identifying and developing new channels though which to acquire customers. This person will be a senior member of the marketing team, reporting directly to the Chief Marketer.

* Develop strategies to efficiently scale new customer acquisition through multiple online and partner marketing channels.

* Meet aggressive customer acquisition targets (new customers, new customer revenue) while staying within allowable CPA.

* Directly negotiate and close deals with third parties to drive additional new customer acquisition.

* Drive additional insights into new customer acquisition strategy.

* Working with partnership teams to optimize acquisition offers and strategies.

* Plan and evaluate funnel optimization programs that increase conversion of site visitors and registrants to customers.

* Manage all activities to budget and efficiency goals.

* Develop and retain a team of marketing managers responsible for online and offline advertising.

* Work closely with other members of the CRM and Product Marketing teams to grow market share in the online photo services category.

This position is located in San Francisco, California


Requirements

* 10+ years of marketing experience.

* 4+ years of e-commerce marketing experience, including creating, launching, and measuring direct-to-consumer marketing campaigns across all channels, online and offline.

* Hands-on experience in direct marketing segmentation, testing, and tracking

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

* Strong analytic skills with proficiency in Excel.

* Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

* BA required, MBA preferred.
